This year, for spring break, we originally planned to visit Seattle, Washington. My favorite oldest brother lives there with his family, and we've never been, so we thought that would be perfect. Then we found out the dog was pregnant. And that kind of threw a wrench in the works, since the puppies would be 7 weeks right when it was time to leave, which is right around the time they go to new homes. After debating what to do, Aaron and I realized we felt more and more anxious every time we thought about what to do for Spring Break. So we decided to postpone the Seattle adventure. And all the anxiety went away!
So we stayed home and sold puppies instead.
And nursed a boy with a broken leg. Oh yeah, that.
As the week progressed (we're cruising right over the Easter festivities, and I know I shouldn't be, but this post is about Spring BREAK), the puppies started to disappear, one by one, until only one was left. She is the one Malachi had named, first "Jewel" but then when he realized he couldn't actually SAY "Jewel", he changed it to "Daisy," and then finally "Annie. "

And finally, Annie was scheduled to be delivered to Logan (and then to Manti), and so we decided to trek south as well, and visit Aaron's favorite oldest sister, Eve (who has recently moved somewhat closer!) So off we traveled, to Syracuse!!
And then to Antelope Island with the troops. The weather couldn't have been any more perfect. And the children were having a great time. Eve and Nathan were gracious enough to host us for the day, and feed us lunch, and then show us ANTELOPE ISLAND!!! (we didn't see any antelope though).

And Spring Break was really nice. Even with the real "break" Definitely the best one we've had all year.

Don't you love it when you can figure out the source of your anxiety and uneasiness? Great pictures from Antelope Island. We love that place, just not in July or August. Sorry about the bad break :(
